Now we have some documentation:

Massa Accuses Kuhl of Push Polling

“We get polled frequently. I don’t know why. We just have a lucky phone number, but this poll was different. It was not objective,” said Melanie Mroz.
(snip)
“Let me read you one of the questions: ‘Did you know that Massa said he would vote against an increase in military spending and oppose the use of the National Guard to defend our borders?’ Both of those are lies,” said Massa.
(snip)
“It’s absolutely wrong and I’m calling him on it. I don’t do it. No one in my campaign does it, no one on my staff. No consultant that we’ve ever talked to and if I ever found anybody who was, I’d fire them tonight,” Massa said.

Congressman Kuhl denies Massa’s claim that his campaign is behind this. The article states that Kuhl “authorizes every poll”, but didn’t authorize this one because it is being paid for by the NRCC.

(Editor note: I’m just reporting on this story. To the one commenter who went a few rounds with me this week on this subject: Don’t start arguing with me because Massa is accusing Kuhl of doing this. I know what your views are in that it is being paid for by the NRCC and it is not Congressman Kuhl’s poll. If you have an issue with this information, call the Massa campaign and voice your opinion there.)

  1. Ask the pollers who they works for, and who contracted the poll. MOST should be happy to tell you. If they refuse to tell you, treat it like a harassing call and report it.

  2. That is really good advice. Thank you for pointing this out.
