Paying more and more out of your pocket in premium and co-pays?
Can’t afford to offer your employees health care insurance?
Not covered for all your health needs?
And do you…
Agree that our elected leaders should address those problems?
If you have answered yes, then plan on attending the Citizens’ Hearing on Health Care; Allegany-Limestone School Auditorium, Saturday, September 16, 2006 from 10 A.M. – Noon (refreshments follow).
As of this writing, NYS Senator Catherine Young, NYS Assemblyman Joe Giglio, NYS Assembly Candidate Linda Witte, and NY-29 Congressional Candidate Eric Massa will attend and “will hear testimony from those who struggle with the present health care system and will tell us what they will do to work for solutions”. Congressman Randy Kuhl has not, to my knowledge, agreed to attend and participate in this event.
The Citizens’ Hearing is sponsored by the Health Care Access Coalition, a project of the Labor-Religion Coalition of Southwestern NY, and co-sponsored by Olean General Hospital, Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce, Cattaraugus Allegany Central Labor Council, Labor-Religion Coalition of Southwestern NY, Temple B’Nai Israel, NYSUT, Guys & Gals of Hinsdale, NYS Medical Society of Cattaraugus County, Olean Teachers Association, Carpenters Local 66, Southern Tier Health Care System Inc., Universal Primary Care, St. Bonaventure University, Quality Care Pharmacies, The Warming House, Literacy Volunteers, St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, USWA 4601 (Dresser-Rand), USWA 5429 (Alcas) Olean Area Coalition for Peace and Justice, Everywoman Opportunity Center, Inc., Healthy Community Alliance, Mental Health Association in Cattaraugus County, inc., … (list in formation).
