Latest Quinnipiac Poll Numbers

“From August 15 – 21, Quinnipiac University surveyed 1,556 New York State registered voters with a margin of error of +/- 2.5 percentage points. The survey includes 464 likely Democratic primary voters with a margin of error of +/- 4.6 percent, and 469 registered Republicans with a margin of error of +/- 4.5 percent.”

Clinton vs Tasini 86% – 10%
Clinton vs McFarland 64% – 24%   June: 58% – 31%
Clinton vs Spencer 62% – 26%      June: 57% – 33%

Clinton Approval/Disapproval Rating:  58% – 34%
Schumer Approval/Disapproval Rating:  59% – 23%

Registered Republican voters:
Spencer vs McFarland 30% – 23%; 42% undecided; 65% of those who name a candidate saying they might change their mind.

For McFarland, 72 percent haven’t heard enough to form an opinion; for Spencer, 80 percent haven’t heard enough.

Rating their interest in the Republican Senate primary on a scale of 1 – 10, 15 percent of Republican voters list 1, not at all interested, with 55 percent at the midpoint or lower. Only 13 percent list 10, very interested.

In the NYS Attorney General Democratic Primary Race:  Cuomo 43%; Green 28%; Sean Patrick Maloney 4%; Charlie King 1%

Cuomo and Green would each beat Republican candidate Jeanine Pirro in November, according to the poll. Cuomo, Clinton’s former housing secretary, had a 23 percentage point lead and Green a 16 point margin over Pirro.
 

President Bush’s ratings from NY State:

New York State voters disapprove 69 – 27 percent of the job President George W. Bush is doing. Republican voters approve 62 – 29 percent, while Democrats disapprove 90 – 9 percent and independent voters disapprove 70 – 26 percent.
